Big Bang and Expanding Universe

Is there evidence in the Bible for the Big Bang Theory? Let’s find out.

The Big Bang Theory is a theory of how our Universe began…

"The Big Bang theory is the prevailing cosmological model for the universe from the earliest known periods through its subsequent large-scale evolution"

"The model accounts for the fact that the universe expanded from a very high density and high temperature state"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang

Although we know from Scripture that God has always existed…

John 8:58

“Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am”

…the Universe, at least in the state it is in now, did not according to mainstream teachings.

So if the Universe is expanding, we should look for verses that support this.

I think we’ve found one…

Matthew 13:33

“Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened”

Now this is one of the most enigmatic verses in Scripture and unfortunately, no explanation for this parable is given to us.

However, with a little bit of digging, we can pick it apart.

Leaven is yeast. Yeast expands dough…

Simple enough.

So if the Kingdom of Heaven is like unto Leaven, that would imply it’s expanding!

Perhaps the ‘Three Measures of Meal’ is a picture of the ‘Three Generations of Matter’ we see in the Standard Model of Particle Physics…

More on that later.

Now the question becomes… why would Jesus say this? If one studies all of the verses that the word Leaven is used in, it becomes very clear that Leaven is a bad thing!

Here we see Leaven being compared to arrogance…

1 Corinthians 5:6

“Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?”

It is interesting to note here that the uneven distribution of matter in the universe is often described as "lumpiness"…

Here, Leaven is compared to malice and wickedness…

1 Corinthians 5:8

“Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth”

When we consider how this Universe was made in an expanding ‘Big Bang’ and relate this to Leaven, the implications are profound.

It would suggest that this Universe we are in was the direct result of a malicious act!

This malicious act would have something to do with Knowledge, or perhaps even the pursuit of it.

1 Corinthians 8:1

“Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth”

Could it be?

Could our Universe be in fact corrupt? Is this what Jesus is trying to tell us in a subtle way?

According to the latest cutting edge research, the answer is a sobering… yes.

For you see…

Not only is our Universe expanding, it’s expanding at an ever increasing rate. To put it into another perspective… our Universe is dying!

Sure, it will take billions of years (supposedly), however the fact remains. Something is wrong. Very wrong.

In the Nova documentary ‘The Elegant Universe‘, mentioned in a previous chapter, Brian Greene actually compares the Universe to a loaf of bread.

In fact, the Bread analogy is used quite often…

Coincidence?

Many mainstream Big Bang theorists suggest that the cause of the original expansion was the result of an ‘unbalance’ or a type of corruption.

It’s as if the ideal Universe is one that was never ‘puffed-up’ to begin with. One that is perfectly flat. One that never dies. One that never changes.

Is there evidence for this?

1 Corinthians 5:7

“Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us”

Look at that. The Unleavened Bread of Jesus is flat. Remember what we learned about earlier?

This calls for a slide…

Universes may exist on Membranes. Perhaps Unleavened Bread is one of these Membranes that houses a flat, stable, ‘Unleavened’ Universe in which no one ever dies.

Speaking of ‘Ye shall not surely die”…

Can you think of a story of corruption and a malicious act in Scripture that had such a huge impact on our Universe as to completely change it forever?
