Before we end Genesis we will take another look at the word ‘Strake’ mentioned earlier.
In Genesis 30, there is a story of Jacob peeling ‘strakes’ into some wooden rods as a picture of DNA. This is why the King James translation is so amazing. The KJV is the closest translation to the original meaning that we have in English.
Other translations use ‘stripes’ or ‘streaks’… completely missing the point. Strakes aren’t just stripes… they are ‘helical’ stripes… like a Candy Cane and of course DNA…
And if that wasn’t convincing enough, it’s as if the Bible goes out of its way to really hit home what these ‘straked rods’ are all about…
That’s right. Rods with DNA looking strakes in them are used to cause pregnancies!
When doing a search for the word ‘strake’ in the KJV, we also find this intriguing passage…
Leviticus 14:37
“And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow strakes, greenish or reddish, which in sight are lower than the wall”
Interesting. DNA Strakes related to plagues. Sounds like Bio-Weapons. We’re just getting started. Our next book is Exodus. In Exodus, we are introduced to a very special rod indeed!
